"You will have significant experiences. I hope that you will write them down and keep a record of them, that you will read them from time to time and refresh your memory of those meaningful and significant things. Some may be funny. Some may be significant only to you. Some of them may be sacred and quietly beautiful. Some may build one upon another until they represent a lifetime of special experience."
Gordon B. Hinckley
Well, Jake played his first game. They got slammed. It was actually pretty sad. I definitely feel it was a learning experience for everyone involved. I hope good things come from this. If you don't already know, Jake is #77. His # from the previous 2 years. You may also notice he doesn't have game pants like the rest of them. You see, they had to order his size in. When we received them in we didn't feel it necessary to try them on, "knowing" they would fit. The night before the game Jason was putting in pads and had Jake try them on. LOL! They did not fit. OK, DID WE NOT HAVE THIS SAME THING HAPPEN LAST YEAR!!! To make a long story short, they are ordering some more pants for Jake. Next year, we will be trying on right when we get them.
P.S. Since I have you reading already, I am a little disappointed in the response I have received about naming the boat. We have to have more than 2-3 names to choose from. Come on, I know one of you can come up with a dandy. We love the two that we've gotten but we have to have more than that.
P.P.S. Sorry about 2 blogs on the same day. The past couple weeks have kind of gotten away from me.

Thomas S. Monson
"You should express regularly to your wife and children your reverence and respect for her. Indeed, one of the greatest things a father can do for his children is to love their mother."

Gratitude unlocks the fullness of life. It turns what we have into enough, and more. It turns denial into acceptance, chaos into order, confusion into clarity.... It turns problems into gifts, failures into success, the unexpected into perfect timing, and mistakes into important events. Gratitude makes sense of our past, brings peace for today and creates a vision for tomorrow~Melodie Beattie
Never let a problem to be solved, become more important than a person to be loved." -President Thomas S. Monson
Life is too short to wake up with regrets. So love the people who treat you right. Pray for the ones who don't. Believe everything happens for a reason. If you get a second chance, grab it with both hands. If it changes your life, let it. Nobody said life would be easy; they just promised it would be worth it....
"Be thankful for what you have, you will end up having more. If you concentrate on what you don't have, you will never have enough" Oprah Winfrey.
