Ok! We had been planning this for about 2 1/2 weeks. A little short notice but we really pulled it off! There were definitely not as many kids as I would have liked. Jake was bieng a bit choosy about his invites.Invitations, by the way are not cool at that age so I did flyers

I thought they were ok for sixth graders, but what do I know, I am just the mom! Anyway, I will get over the fact that there could have been a lot more kids there, but oh well. They had a blast. So backing up a bit, Jake tells me he wants a DJ at this thing! Because I love my son, I say sure! Where in the #@*! do I find a DJ, that I could afford and not pay an arm and leg for. A friend found one called
The Budget DJ. I immediately called because it was last minute and the last day of school. He was able to do it and didnt break the bank. I told him what I wanted and he seemed fine with it and said he could it! So,the day comes and here comes this minivan(nothing wrong with the minivan) with a 70 ish man and women. The man had this disney tie, hair slicked back, glasses...! NOT COOL!!! I was really scared. No really! I am thinking to my self, where did I go wrong. Should I have asked for a portfolio...! Maybe a head shot! Anyway, he ended up bieng really good and has a great system and the kids did really like him! Our little Miss Addi came over with her parents and I got this awesome little video of her>
So we also got this inflatable boxing ring from
Goosejumps Robyn is awesome. If you ever need anything like that, they are the best. The kids absolutely enjoyed every stinkin' minute with that thing. It would be fun for a family party. They are very reasonably priced.

Then to top off all the fun and excitement we had sub zero ice cream come and make a little ice cream for us! It was a a good time.

Some of our family and friends stopped by to see how it was going, here are a few pics of them.

It all turned out great. I loved to be able to do this for Jake. Yes, some people have said why??? and I respond Its all about the memories and what my kids will be able to tell their kids and so on and so on. We dont drive fancy cars,we dont live in a fancy house,we dont go on fancy vaccations...this is how I choose to spend my $$$$$ and I love doing it because this is what its all about! Jake you are such a great kid. Your Dad and I love you very much! Enjoy seventh grade next year! This was all for you, bud!
