So, Football is over for the year and I am not sure how I feel about it! Practice was a pain (eating late, homework late, everything late) Game days were always fun! Even if they did lose a few! I do have to say that Jakes last game was amazing. Those boys were awesome. Jake was awesome. We just kept saying, that was Jake, that was Jake. I asked him after the game, what the deal was and he said to me " Uh, it was the last game" REALLY! You should be playing like that each and every game. When he got up from the field and handed the ref the ball I was amazed and so proud. Jake is considered an Xman because he is over a certain weight and is not allowed to have the ball unless it "falls" into his hands basically! So to see his hands on that ball was incredible. So this post is basically a proud mom bragging about her son and dealing with the fact that football is over for the year and to say to Jake "get it together and play every game like it is your last".
Also, I want to thank the ones that made it to his games! You really have no idea how much that means to Jake, Jason and I. It says a lot to take time out of the busy schedules we all seem to have now a days and come and support! Thank you, Thank you, Thank you from the bottom of our hearts!
