Absence makes the heart grow fonder" means that the time you spend away from one you love makes you love that person even more. The word "absence" means to be away. To "grow fonder" is to care more. "Absence makes the heart grow fonder" means the time you spend away from someone you love ("absence") makes you love that person even more ("the heart grows fonder"). When someone you care for is away, you miss that person and think about them often, and that feeling makes you want to be with them even more.
The lack of something increases the desire for it.
On the negative side-Out of sight,out of mind! (dont like that one) There is also a line in a bare naked ladies song where it says absence makes the heart grow fungus. So, they are saying if you are emotionally absent the love may moulder and die....
In summation: if Jason bieng gone till September means that I will love him even more than what I do right now than I guess I will just have to deal with it. But honestly, this really sucks crap!!!
Disclaimer: I AM very grateful for my husband even having a job right now. Also, I know there are men and women who have to deal with this a lot more than me (military and such) and I cant imagine. I AM just bieng a boob because I like my husband home with me and my kids. He IS my best friend and such a great father. I am just expressing my personal thoughts through this post.
